The Iron Monkeys' Guardian of Dawn Fundraiser

Hello all!

I'd love to share the fundraising page for The Iron Monkeys' largest and most impressive-sounding project to date. The 'Guardian of Dawn' is to be a 75x45 foot courtyard with beautiful welded steel figures carrying flame and lighting effects, along with the 22-foot high winged Guardian figure itself. It will be a shared space to congregate, warm up, and enjoy the community and artwork on display.

Having the privilege of knowing some of the Monkeys personally, I can attest to their extraordinary talent, team spirit, and good old-fashioned hard work they bring each year to the Playa. Thanks to some amazing and generous contributions so far, the Iron Monkeys are almost half-way to their funding target, with a total $4,840 raised towards the $10,000 target for The Guardian of Dawn. A massive thanks to all who have donated so far.

The chest piece for the guardian is complete and looking spectacular, and all the Iron Monkeys have been doing what they do best; getting busy and sweaty in their workshop.

However, there is still some way to go, and with 14 days left the clock is ticking…but we are all hoping to hit that target.

I'd like to encourage those who appreciate being able to gather at a beautiful fire-drenched space like this on the Playa, to help out if possible. Every little helps, and there are some hand-crafted gifts on offer to those who are able to throw a few dollars towards making this project happen!

Thanks to some generous contributions, The Guardian of Dawn project is a little over halfway funded. A massive thanks (and some great schwag) to all those who have helped out.

However...with seven days to go, we're still some way off the $10k target. If anyone would consider throwing a few dollars into the pot, all the Iron Monkeys would be eternally grateful. There are some wonderful hand-made accessories and fashion items up for grabs, and for those who contribute at the higher levels, there are some incredible opportunities to get involved with the project on a more personal level.

You're right indeed, Asquared - the amazing news is....WE HIT THE TARGET!!!

For a few days it was looking a little doubtful it would reach the required budget but thanks to a truly phenomenal final push, the total is currently $10,150.

A giant and heartfelt thanks to all who have contributed. You can be assured the Iron Monkeys will work their hardest in making this incredible space with its fire sculptures a real sight to behold.
