Ratty's post was entirely reasonable, you're the one living in some sort of altered reality it seems. And the "if you can't afford to lose it don't bring it to burning man" thing is written in plenty of places and even if it weren't it should go without saying.
And in terms of picking things apart, if this hat was so damn valuable to you why did you put a crude hole in it for a blinky light?
The WWII pith helmet by the way cuts into your head so I was wearing a second hat underneath to keep me from injury. Thus when one fell off I still felt the second hat. my mistake it took me 15 minutes to figure that out... sure. so now lets stop this bickering.
You are reading into something and drawing unfounded conclusions. so, when you were a child you did not put a hole in anything? ps my brother put in the hole I think it was 1953. I did not know better in 1953
Ok. perhaps I chose poor words so if I withdraw that comment about finding the hat on another head will you be happy? I never used the word accost. You are reading things into my post.
Clarification I did not use the word "valuable". You did. if you say that quote "if you can't afford to loose" is written in plenty of places. well prove it! Show me where. Loosen up Everyone
I AM SORRY no it is not reasonable to approach someone at burning man. You are right. don't approach anyone and beware of the ones with WWII hats on it might be me...
SO PLEASE STOP. Just Jim
