I'm looking for a girl I believe to be named Sam, who possibly saved a life this year at TTITD.

My boyfriend J and I were attending for our second year, and Thursday morning things went terribly wrong. Just as the sun was revealing its glow on Thursday morning, J got out of bed and left camp for the morning ritual at the JOTS. I went back to sleep but when I woke the second time I realized the sun was a bit higher and he had not returned. I laughed to myself thinking this is Burning Man....so many distractions! But something inside just didn't feel right...I hopped on my bike and peddled over to the JOTS on the 9:30 road closest to K. As I got close I could see his bike there, but when I rounded them to the front I saw two medics and the girl I believe is named Sam, basically dragging J from one of them...with his left arm & leg just hanging. I realized immediately, but at the same time tried to deny....he was having a stroke!

We both had an ambulance ride to Rampart, where they then airlifted him to Reno and I returned to camp to tell our camp mates and head out to Reno myself. At 43 years old, he is very lucky to have survived this and to only have minor numbness to his left hand. I would like to find Sam and tell her she is an angel and greatly appreciated. She had short brown hair and was wearing green spandex pants with shoulder straps and a red top. If anyone knows of this angel....please let her know that we are looking for her...We would like to thank her personally!!!

He managed to unlock the door after slumping to the floor and used his head to bump the door open and closed. She saw this and asked if he needed help. He said yes, and thankfully she had some sort of medical training and knew he needed the medics right away.

You don't need medical training--anyone can learn the signs of stroke...
Face
Arms
Speech
Time

Ask them to smile, and if one side of the face doesn't, medical attention
Ask them to raise there arms, and if one arm doesn't raise, medical attention
Ask them to talk, and if the words come out slurred or weird, medical attention
Time--do it quickly, quickly, quickly--This is really one of those "golden hour" things, were, if you get it right away, the damage is minimized.

I was certain they had added another thing, but I didn't see it here or at the other two pages I looked at.
