Loving Burner seeks Quiet Camp with Gluten Free Meals

Hello!

Thank you for taking the time to inform me about camp possibilities.
I am finding peaceful camp in a quiet location that has gluten free meals.
I have a great deal of energy to contribute, along with the proper funding
for the amazing gifts camps provide. I am no sparkle pony and have no interest
in plug and play. I plan to take care of myself completely as well as contribute
as much as I possibly can to whichever theme camp the playa provides me!
I will be camping with an amazing partner as well who is kind and generous
with his time, love, and energy. I have been going through all the posts on here
searching for a home, and if anyone has any leads, I would be very grateful.
Last year I buckled down and camped in the walk in area and provided all my own
food which was more of a challenge than it was worth. It would be a great honor
to contribute art, time, love, my hands and my mind in exchange for a healthy
spiritual community that happens to share my food values and has lots of meals.

Yeah, good luck finding a camp that serves gluten free meals... it might make more sense to select a camp that's a good fit for you otherwise, and one to which you can contribute, and then bring your own specialty meals and prepare them in the communal kitchen. Something in between plug n play and what you did last year.

Or don't camp in the walk-in area, it's a lot easier to bring food and kitchen gear etc if you don't have to carry it all half a mile

Unfortunately, there are no gluten free options in Black Rock City.
You could bring it yourself, as mentioned above, but it's Just not worth it.
Really, it's a big pain in the ass. Wouldn't you rather relax at a yoga healing retreat instead?
Burning Man is full of 'low energy' folks (if you know what I mean) who are mostly drunk and horny.
They just don't get the gluten thing and the high energy vibrations associated with avoiding the gluten devil.
Save yourself the hastle and don't go. Sell your ticket and rack up extra karma points with Our Mother.

I had a long discussion today with a very
awesome spirit and told them how much Burning Man meant to me,
that it's truly the evolution of our species.
It is a responsibility and a privilege to represent this community.
It is my belief that kindness is the GREATEST gift a person can give.
My sadness for all of the negativity that's being spread runs deep.
I hope everyone has the opportunity to find the peace and joy
that comes from generosity, kindness, and helping others that I
have found. One kind act starts a chain reaction, and that is magic.

No need to reply unless you are in a camp or know of one
with people are on the same page as I am. I've read enough

OP, check out Red Lightning and Sacred Spaces; I've no intimate knowledge of their menus, nor if they are still taking campers, but they seem like they might be right up your alley.

Sharing food is one of the oldest/best ways to build community.
Her spiritual path is none of anyone's business, your judgment of it says a lot more about you than she.
She's no different than anyone else looking for like-minded folks (whether they're pyros, anarchists, circus people, malcontents , kinky, whatever) to live with on the playa.
We have NO IDEA what she brings to the table, that's for her to discuss with a potential camp.

OP, you may want to join the Hushville mailing list at Yahoo Groups.

Hushville will be quiet. It is a large camp with theme camps, sub-villages, and individual campers within. You may find that others in Hushville are doing a gluten-free menu, and you might be able to pool resources with them.

The best way to contact Hushville members is by joining their Yahoo group.

What gaminwench said. While I certainly wouldn't either choose a camp based on amenities or meal plans, and I wouldn't want someone primarily interested in that in my camp.... who the fuck cares? There are as many different ways to burn as there are burners at the event. I wish the OP luck in finding a camp that can meet her needs, and hope that she rocks the event and makes an even deeper connection to it. Find a camp, become an active contributor in every sense of the word! Good luck in finding a camp...

Not a creepy kind of love. More of a soundly respectful one that is just really looking forward to finally meeting you out there in person and smile into the eyes of the person behind some of the best posts I read these days.
