We did not get tickets when sales opened up, in fact it appears we never even stood a chance. So we're just sort of waiting to see what happens at this point. Not pushing one way or the other.
And besides... around here it's all about Derby and having things done before everyone's big party, so I"m neck deep in metalwork. Shew... back to the shop!

Pretty soon I have to go get the Land Yacht (I've got a rental house with more room around it, so I keep it over there) and start cleaning, painting, wiring, outfitting, fixing, modifying, and all that. And sometimes I like to just sit and watch it running, with all the lights on.

I'm not giving up so much as just focusing attention on other things at the moment. I was really jazzed about it and then the tickets sold out in 0.005 seconds and I admit that after that I lost my zeal. There are some ideas in motion that might work out though. Not giving up just yet...

Ok, Contraption update:
I missed the deadline for the Mutant Vehicle registration. I knew it was coming and I knew the deadline but I want to make some mods to the machine that will involve more time than can be dedicated between now and the end of August. So rather than risk knocking someone else out of the running who could bring a vehicle, it was better to just let it slide. Therefore, no Contraption for 2015. It's ok, though because the additions will be worth it, I think.
It's still possible that we will be at the event, but we have not actively searched for tickets yet because of a significant commission coming up at about the same time and we may or may not be able to break away. We'll see what the universe allows...
In the meantime, the Ol' Rust Bucket started right up again the other day and purred like a kitten as the gears spun happily along. I'll be working on concepts and ideas to start toying with this Fall...
