ABC Alphabet Block Camp 2015
ABC Alphabet Block Camp (F/K/A Express Lot) is heading back to the Playa in 2015!
We are a home away from home for travelers from afar who may need a little help infrastructure-wise.
ABC assists with shade, drinking/cooking water, kitchen facilities and a few other goodies while promoting self-reliance and communal effort, among other things.
Paricipants Welcome!

Re: ABC Alphabet Block Camp 2015
Okay, I walk by the blocks and notice that they spell out “MAN BURN CANCELED”.
I see Just Joe sitting in shade explaining to some passerbyers the situation. See, the motor controlling one of the Man’s arms is broke, it's a simple lawn-mower type engine, but they had to have another shipped in to Reno, and the driver got popped for speeding up to the playa and is now back in Reno, in jail, and people with bail money are heading south to spring him and the motor. And the story went on and on and on and on.
It was pretty funny, then I started to recall a couple years back when my buddy and I had decided to clear out before the Burn to beat the rush and catch a flight, and after all….we had seen somewhere written in blocks that the Man burn had been canceled…..

A very cruel and heartless prank when I fell for it, hilarious watching others fall for it.

ABC is kinda MEH anyways... Join Kamp Joe 4 President. We're an unofficial sub-camp of ABC, but we have nothing to do with ABC, but we share their resources and camp for now. VOTE 4 JOE!!!

Re: ABC Alphabet Block Camp 2015
Now that some of the ticketing dust has settled, we are receiving more inquiries.
For those that are wondering, we still have room for a number of virgins arriving with a minimum of "stuff" (Burner Express and ride share peeps).
We are at capacity for vehicles, or people arriving with vehicles and all the gear that comes with them.

A great group of people (even with the fake cheese guy).
I might need to refer a friend to you. He will be coming in Burner Express.

We have received our food permit! Wash stations(s), thermometers, ice scoops, food gloves, etc., are at the ready.
Y'all are invited to stop by on Tuesday morning at 10AM.
Mark your calendars. VIP line for ePlayans !!
Carnival of Cheese
Carneys and Cheese, two great tastes together. Get in line for a tasty grilled cheese sammy or take your chance and Spin the Wheel for some instant gratification..or heartless rejection. Find the end of the line, wait, spin the wheel, face mockery, wait in line some more, eat a Grilled Cheese sandwich if you are lucky, or was it only half? Trick or illusion? White bread, American cheese, dairy butter and playa dust. Until the cheese runs dry.

Joe, is there any way I can contribute to this event and help prepare some tasty sandwiches for my friends here on eplaya, particular friends, in particular?

Would you guys have room for a yurt? It doesn't need to be under shade or anything special
Can I ask about how many burners are in the camp?

We're pretty tight, pending placement. Small tent's, maybe, but there's no room to shoehorn vehicle and a yurt in at this point.LittleRadagast wrote:Would you guys have room for a yurt? It doesn't need to be under shade or anything special

DUST MARRIED!
Is anyone getting married on the playa this year?
We're throwing a Wedding Reception on Thursday afternoon.
Last year, we had a group ask us to surprise their friends with “Just Married” (which morphed to DUST MARRIED) as they were walking back to camp after the ceremony. We had several groups over the next hour or two come over and pose for photographs.
Over a couple of cocktails, a few of us thought we should create an honest to gosh event for this, and “DUST MARRIED Wedding Reception” was born.
http://playaevents.burningman.org/playa_event/13899/
We'd like to offer up this party to any and all newly betrothed couples.
So far, we've collected bouquets to throw, tiaras, top-hats and a few other costume enhancements.
We'll have Little Debbie Wedding Cakes on hand to smash into each others faces and ice to keep the champagne you bring cold. Anyone is encouraged to toast the cute couples and we hope to finish out the festivities by dancing to YMCA, The Chicken Dance and other wedding reception classics. There's always the possibility (actually, probability) of Uncle Joe have one too many and ending up dancing with a lamp shade on his head.
If you think you might like to stop by, or know someone who would, let us know. Walk-ins welcome but we'd like to get as many little name cards with seating assignments filled out as soon as possible.
We'll need a DJ for this and I hear there may be a few at the event. If you could spare a few hours and have a smallish sound system we could borrow, we'd love to talk to you.
If anyone has any suggestions as to how we can do this better or want to help, bring it!
Thanks
