Hey Fellow Burners,
This year will be my first year to Burning Man and I can't wait! I'm travelling alone from Australia to attend all of the biggest and best festivals across Europe and the U.S.
I would love to join a camp to make myself useful and meet some fabulous people, while having a a community spot to camp too. I'm a professional photographer and will be bringing my equipment. I've applied for a media pass and would be more than happy to be the resident photographer. I'm bit of a jack if all trades. Great at cooking, cocktails, handy with a hammer or just about anything really.
I'm 23 from a small and eccentric coastal town on the East coast of Australia called Byron Bay. Although I am excited to explore, dance and photograph I also want to be involved in any way I can.
If you think I would be a great addition to your camp let me know.

Welcome, Aussiefire!
Send emails or PMs to compatible camps in this forum. Choose a place whose philosophy or goals would be fun to further. Camps are used to people reaching out to them, so don't wait for them to find you.

Also, there are lots of Australians to Burn; make sure you join their email lists and FB groups as applicable! I know you're in a small town, but maybe you can meet up with other Aussies when you fly out . . . or at least compare notes about the intricacies of International Burning.

Thanks Savannah, that's really helpful.
Cease, I work in Melbourne alot. I'm actually here at the moment till May. I might try and catch a few people from Aus heading over there and see if they're keen to catch up.

Re: Aussie photographer first timer looking to join camp
Go thru this list of theme camps...(http://burningman.org/culture/history/b ... p-archive/)...most of these were from last year. Many, but not all of them will be at the 2015 event. This will give you a good idea of the various camps and the ones that may be a good fit for you. Narrow down your list, contact them and start the dialogue.
Don't bore your friends with all your troubles. Tell your enemies instead, for they will delight in hearing about them.

I'm giving this a nudge over to the Camps, Art & Activities board since that's a better fit for 'seeking camp' threads.
