Any NYC based camps this year
I'm a 2-time burner from Brooklyn, NY hoping to make this year burn #3. Are there any theme camps accepting members that are based in NYC? The only one I know of are kostume kult and I don't really fit in with their style. I'm looking to join a theme camp where I can help build what they make and help operate it, whether it's an art piece, a bar, or an art car.

Disorient is also at least partially based in NYC as well. Great folks, but not sure if they are accepting new members.
Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

My advice - get radically self reliant. Most camps aren't sitting around waiting for people to post that they'd like someone to invite them to join their camp... they're actively working on putting their plans together. Between perusing these boards and looking at last year's published partial list of placed camps (easily found via web search), you should have plenty of information to check out. If I'm not mistaken, the published list even includes home cities to help you find someone geographically close. Once you find a camp that's near you and that you have an interest in, reach out to them to ask about joining.
