Each year we have such a wonderful group of individuals that come together to help us create a magical, safe community for LGBTQ women (trans inclusive) and their allies. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate everyone who wants to camp with us as we have limited space and resources. If you aren't able to camp with the Beavers this year, we still encourage you to attend the Burn and come visit us often! Camping with a theme camp is a lot of work and for many first-time Burners, it can be overwhelming. Just getting yourself to the playa is a challenge in itself!
Here are a few things to expect so you can decide if you really do want to camp with us this year.
1. We build and tear down our camp structures and expect everyone to help. This typically includes one or two 35-ft geodesic domes, a large shade structure, a small shade structure, a carport for the kitchen, and a camp shower. We all contribute to keep our communal spaces clean and beautiful.
2. There are daily camp meals and we would like everyone to be well-fed and involved. We request that everyone take turns to prepare vegan fare and add meat/dairy to your own meals if you like.
3. We host events for hundreds of people and there will be people coming through our camp 24 hours a day. If you're looking for quiet or privacy, this may not be the place for you.
4. We are a sex-positive, sex educational camp. Many of our workshops and events are sex based. If you are unsure or uncomfortable being a part of this environment, please consider camping elsewhere. You can check out our schedule of events from last year here:

This will be some get-to-know-you questions and will help us decide who will be camping with us this year.We will have some regional events and fundraisers leading up to the Burn this year. It will be a great chance to get to know some veteran Beavers and meet some new folks. Please let me know if you would like to spearhead or participate in an event in your area.
