Ok folks as promised, I will create the list of the fixer camps and get some cards printed out to pass around and post. If you are a repair/fixer/welding/etc camp and want to be part of this, sound off!

BRC Hardware will be at 9:15 and Center Camp Plaza this year. We're hoping to be open and running Sunday before the event for any pre-event fixes.

MacGyvers' Union will be at 6:45 and B.

We are not a fix-it camp exactly -- we're a home and hideout for all the fixers of the playa -- but if your problem is interesting we'll usually help. (Last year we fixed Tubatron's flaming tuba.)

We also act as an info exchange, so if you need a tool or a skillset that you don't have, drop by and we can put the request out.

I just want to send out a massive wave of gratitude and love towards all of you fixer camps. You guys rule and provide a form of participation that saves the less mechanically inclined, like myself.

I have a five year old playa bike that I'm dragging out there this year, maybe one of you will see me midweek...

Terrific idea test517! Even if my camp rides out the week intact, a neighbor's camp might not, or I can imagine perhaps some other scenario where this reference card would become really handy to have and share. Thanks!

We will be printing off a series of cards and then dropping off a bunch to all the camps on the list. You should still stop by G&B, we will give you a couple of cards and beer!

I'm a fixer looking for a camp! I can weld, smash, hammer, wrench, tweak, tune, etc. I'm ideally looking for one that has an appealing cooking/eating situation, as that's a big part of what I do, and an awesome sound system! But I'd settle for a camp stove and a beach umbrella! Holler at me!

I am a skilled maker, equally handy with a soldering iron or debugging arduino code. I am going back to Burning Man for the first time since 1998, and am looking for a camp to join. While browsing ePlaya I came across this thread and was instantly captivated. I LOVE the idea of joining a fixer camp and helping other people fix their stuff. I'm also handy with things mechanical (though my welding skills are rusty), but my first love is electronics.

Are there any fixer camps with room for 2 more? We're flying in, and won't have room for a lot of supplies, so would love to find a camp with a meal plan.

I'm so excited - what a great way to spend time on the playa!

This year Cranky and Sons Bike Repair will be located within the EBB and Glow Village on C at 3:15 (although we might actually be sitting on D at 3:15). We'll be open from 9 to 1, with DIY tools available other hours.

If you're a morning person and know how to fix bikes (or patch flats, or are mechanically inclined) and are looking for an opportunity to participate,
come by any day and help us out. We can always use another hand! Espresso and beer available.
