cross-country from Boston to BM

Post by sl1ce » Mon Jul 13, 2015 12:32 pm

I'm prepping for my next cross-country journey to Black Rock City. I'm scheduled to setup art at the man base with early arrival and vehicle pass.

I will depart Boston 1-2 weeks prior stopping for art and sightseeing and refueling. Possibly camping overnight along the way or hotel for spa and relaxation. Plans/stops are flexible and looking to make the journey a little more interesting by adding a few passengers. Denver/Boulder is on my route.

My ship the Millennial Hawk, she doesn't look like much but she's made the kessel run in less than 12 parsecs. 4 window short bus with freshly rebuilt Chevy 8cyl diesel.

See the country with panoramic windows and room for a cooler and several pieces of luggage. I can take 2-3 passengers and the fare depends on how many passengers are on the bus.

I've edited the subject line to include the city of origin. I'd suggest that you may want to include some kind of ETA on at least your date of arrival at BRC.

Any would-be passengers would also need to have their own early arrival pass valid for entry on that date (and no, EA's may not be bought, sold, bartered/traded, or gifted between camps and projects).

Good luck in making connections, it sounds like it's going to be a fun trip.

Hello Boston! My friend and I might be interested. One of us lives in Boston and I live in Southern, VT. We are Christina and Jane. We are newbies to BM. We are trying to figure out how to get all this done in time and we need tix! More later.

If you want to avoid the high altitude Eisenhower Tunnel/Continental Divide, consider jogging north to Cheyenne, WY on I-25, paralleling the east slope of the Rockies. Then turn west on I-80 which takes you all the way to Fernley, NV with the highest pass being 8640 feet between Cheyenne and Laramie, WY compared to 11,158 feet west of Denver at the Eisenhower Tunnel approach.
