What is an open-minded rideshare?

Post by jasonk » Fri Aug 21, 2015 8:31 am

When I offer a ride via the BM rideshare site, I can check "open minded". What does that mean? It looks like you MUST turn it on, so I guess it's just BMOrg being amusing?

Looks like just them being amusing, but it might just be a gentle reminder to peeps that they're offering to give rides to what could be decidedly unusual folks and that they should be prepared for that.

I'm giving this a nudge over to the Share Resources board, since that's a better fit for rideshare related posts.

Obviously it's a valid question to see if you are down, if you know what I mean? I don't mean anything, actually, it's just an amusing checkbox, and I think melodiousdirge hit the nail on the head. If you're looking for a serious support question type answer for the rideshare board, then go back on over to that site and ask them the question.

I don't think it's a valid question, since you are only allowed to answer "yes" to it. It must be a joke.

I did email rideshare support a few days ago and got no answer, so, eplaya :P

My unseen rental truck . . . is going to be intensely spiritual.

It's trying to weed out prudes like me.
One year, instead of using the official rideshare, I sought a passenger using another online resource, one where I could make stipulations and conditions on my offer.
There were 3 conditions I had:
1. No nature derived aliases.
2. No nudity in the vehicle.
3. Help me set up my tent.

The first response was from a dominatrix named Willow. I told her she was already violating the first clause, I had a suspicion she would ignore the second, and when it came time to erect my tent on playa, I know she will just make me do it, and like it. Her response, and my then girlfriends opinion, convinced me to drive in alone that year.
