who knew ticketfly was going to use the PULSE method for tickets... what is this exodus? I went from 20 minutes before THE PAUSE to more than an hour. Bring on the stress!

No it isn't, but neither is patience. For what it's worth, there hasn't been a high demand on-sale in the ticket business that hasn't made ticket servers creak and groan. Even with the TM/LN events, big onsales can crush 'em in the first few minutes (it's largely a similar type of computing as a DDoS attack). Hang in there. TFly has considerably more capacity than the previous ticketing supplier, and they handled last year's demand with minimal fuss.

i'm actually watching 2 computers race each other & it's as amusing as it is frustrating.... at any given moment one leads by 5 minutes then they switch... if more people were here, i'd open the table for betting

See, that is what kills me, I've built out clusters that can shrug off millions of people hitting it, can scale up and down on demand (scalebase is truly amazing). It just hurts when I see a big name provider get staggered by, what essentially is, a small number of users hitting it. IMHO too many people just rely on "the cloud" to save them, and think "we can just spin up more instances!" Doesn't work like that. All that being said, I have my tickets from the DGS, and at least their servers aren't spewing 500 errors.

Hopefully everyone gets their tickets, and can come take out their purchasing frustrations in the dome this year

Xeperu, you're fucking yourself over. Using multiple browsers/machines from the same location will likely just keep pushing you further back in the queue (user's position is determined by most recent refresh point).
