Holiday tickets
Dear Borg, Should we assume that Holiday tickets are a thing of the past?

Unfortunately, the Borg do not read or run these forums. You'll have to ask them directly.

Not completely correct. While none of the Moderators are BMorg employees (we're all volunteers), ePlaya is 100% part of Burning Man (look at the URL), and the rules & terms we operate under are decided by them. We are indeed "run" by them - just very, very, very loosely.TT120 wrote:Unfortunately, the Borg do not read or run these forums. You'll have to ask them directly.
People from various departments do post post here about relevant issues on occasion, and, in a bit of pure speculation, I wouldn't be surprised if someone in the offices was reading hear just to keep tabs on the "pulse of the community". Does that mean they'll answer the OPs question? Hell no - they'll release info on their own schedule like they always do.
My guess (again, speculation), based off last year: there will be a higher-priced tier of tickets offered, just like there has been for years, but who knows when they will actually start selling them. Last year it wasn't until ... late Jan I think ... but that was also the first time they didn't have holiday tickets available for Christmas.

Re: Holiday tickets
Tickets in time for the holidays have long since been a thing of the past. Back as far as the end of 2011 (for the 2012 event) the "holiday" sale took place only a week before Christmas (and after other religious holidays/gift-giving occasions), and buyers only received an email with a graphic that could be printed out at home and put under the tree. Since then, the emphasis has been towards referring to it as a pre-sale, and for the 2014 event that pre-sale didn't even begin until January.
Unless an announcement is made that indicates otherwise, you should anticipate that any kind of pre-sale (if one happens) would take place after the holidays.
