New! Ticket Transfer Option!
https://ticketsupport.burningman.com/cu ... fer-option
The Ticketfly system now offers the ability to transfer items (tickets and vehicle passes) within your Will Call order directly to other people.
General info about Ticket Transfer:
A great option if a friend needs to pick up one of the items in your order but is arriving separately from you.
Each eligible item in an order can be assigned to a different person.
Provides security to the recipient because the transfer can't be retracted by the original owner.
No need for any other name change or authorization documentation, the recipient just needs their new confirmation email and ID to pick up their items at the Box Office.
Some ticket types are restricted and not eligible to be transferred (Low Income, staff, etc.)
Here's a step-by-step of how to use Ticket Transfer:
1. Log in to your account at http://ticketfly.com
2. Go to My Orders
3. Click on the order number from which you wish to transfer items.
4. Click the Transfer Tickets button to open the transfer view.
5. Select the items you want to transfer (ticket or vehicle pass). Each item that is eligible for transfer will say "Transferable" next to it. Click Next.
6. Enter the legal first name, last name and email address of the person to whom you wish to transfer your item and click Next.
7. Review the transfer details and select box next to Terms & Conditions.
8. Confirm the transfer by clicking the button that says Confirm. THERE IS NO OPTION TO UNDO THIS.
Repeat each step for each item you wish to transfer.
That's it! The person to whom you transfer an item will receive an email confirming the transfer.

Awesome! This has been a long time coming and is a badly needed feature. Drinks all around!!!

Sweet, now that this functionality has been implemented, print-at-home tickets shouldn't be too far behind. That would almost completely eliminate people showing up with bogus tickets, and eliminate the uncertainty of knowing if a ticket bought from a 3rd party is legit or not.

Re: New! Ticket Transfer Option!
What does a ticket transfer email look like??? I paid someone $900 to transfer 2 tix & VP and I got an email from [email protected] confirming the transfer so I thought everything was ok. Now a friend pointed out the hand in the pic of this girl's ID looked like a guy's which made me look closer and realize there's no order #, just a transfer of names. Is this legitimate?? Here's a pic if the email I got. Ticketfly was no help as they "stay out of" ticket transfers and couldn't say what the email would look like though. He did say there should be an order # which there was not.
Some peace of mind would be greatly appreciated!!

Re: New! Ticket Transfer Option!
Reading that badly misphrased "acknowledgement" you posted on Imgur, I'd lay even odds you just lost $900, but I'll defer to someone with actual knowledge from ticketing.
If that is by some miracle legit, then Ticketfly needs a proofreader rather badly.

Contact Ticketfly and also, if you paid with Paypal, contact them or the credit card company you used.
Re: New! Ticket Transfer Option!
Nothing Ticketfly can do, they said they about a dozen others have fallen for this. Stupidly sent through money gram so I deserve what I get. Just glad I figured it out before driving up!

I wonder if that was his real name and if he was a fan of the band Living Color.

Seconded. Never ever use these services. Ever. If the seller demands it for whatever reason, assume they're a scammer and move on. The reason is there is no recourse, your money is gone. So perfect for fake websites selling imaginary goods, just take the money and run.

Re: New! Ticket Transfer Option!
I used this to sell one of my will call tickets to another party who will be arriving separately from me.
How do I know / make sure this worked? All I see is their email address and a "transferred to". I - the seller - didn't get a confirmation email.
