I just tried submitting the url for my new Twitter
https://twitter.com/theme_camps
in that form, as
http://twitter.com/theme_camps
and then tried just submitting
theme_camps
In all cases I got the same error message:
"The Twitter website address has to be valid. For example http://www.twitter.com/NAME"
As you can see for yourself, the url is valid. Would you please fix this at your earliest convenience? Thanks.

Broken Twitter link submit for profile
I'm washing my hands of this forum, permanently. If you'd like to know why, this discussion should explain everything. This community showed its true character in a hurry. What's the point of having a discussion with people who are this dishonest?

Life's a bitch, then you go to Burning Man - Unjonharley

Re: Broken Twitter link submit for profile
That took care of the problem for me. Thanks, TT120.
Still, this is going to be a nuisance for all future users - the format I used is the standard format for Twitter urls. Why not just lose the validator and save everybody some time and trouble? Answering the same question over and over doesn't seem like something that would be fun for anybody.
But I guess that falls under "suggestions."

Re: Broken Twitter link submit for profile
I'm glad to hear you figured it out. I'll keep my eyes out for a plugin that doesn't care whether there's a www in the address or not.
