Got them. Resisting the urge to go all Mel on their asses. And wtf with "a cocktail party for the general population you can participate in"?

Argh.

And people, not replying to spammers includes not replying to spammers selling the burn.

ok. so then what would be her reason? is she selling anything? no. Is she digging up past issues from 6 years ago that not many on here don't even know of? Nope. She joined in 2005, so she probably isn't here to troll. Don't get me wrong, I think socks should be burned, but what is she doing wrong?

As if we knew what half the people on eplaya were doing. As long as she's doing no harm, I don't much care. If you'r curious, you could ask her.

Got him. Also got the one who posted in the old advertising thread, which is like this thread, just less catchily named.

This post just boggled my mind...but I checked out the two links that are not coded properly to be active--and I wonder...might this be a spam post? The links both go to the same online store that don't really seem to sell anything burning man related. http://eplaya.burningman.org/viewtopic. ... 299#564299

That's panda shoes, posts frequently. Rarely codes correctly. Everyone should not reply to spam posts. even if they are messed up.

Words to live by.

I'm enjoying Pandaboy's stories.

I missed one.
If I'm not around to catch one, would someone please copy and email it to me, or post it, less links of course, to this thread, which seems most suitable.

Gyre, it is fucking spam. If you're around to see it good for you. Personally I'm trying to get the bastard banned.

Yeah I know.
I've sent you his links myself.

But I doubt the spammer wrote the oddly bizarre stories.
I'm not leaving any shoe links up.

Anyway, Pandaboy's stories make more sense than some of the posts on here.
I won't leave any in instructionals.

It seems like an individual renting below market prices, and I've seen way below, is doing people a favor, and maybe trying to amortize their own rv expenses, rather than trying to run a business.

It may sound like a fine point, but it's usually pretty obvious if they're putting a cost up.

Does't matter if he's doing anyone a favor if it is commerce. That's one rule I do not get to bend.

However, we exchanged PMs, I explained the difference between seeking campmates/riders to split the costs and outright renting. He is rewording his post to be clear he is involved in the package and not simply offering an RV set up and rental service.

I thought he might be.

He said looking to fill on the first post, but it wasn't really spelled out otherwise.
