Messaging System Error (August 2012)

Post by trilobyte » Sat Aug 18, 2012 10:00 pm

As many of you may have noticed, the ePlaya messaging system is currently down. Instead of getting your inbox (or being able to send a message), all you're seeing is an annoying MySQL error. I'm on it, and we should be back up and running just as soon as I'm able to connect with the right people on the tech team to make the configuration changes that need to be made.

Thanks for your (im)patience, nobody wants to get the private messaging system back online more than I do.

Thanks for your patience, everybody, things should be operating normally (I've spent the last couple hours using it without any trouble).

issue accessing PM's, control panel, profile, etc

Post by Straightveg » Fri Aug 24, 2012 8:23 pm

I can't get to the user control panel, my profile, my PM's, watched topics, or Usergroups using the links at the top of the page. Anyone else having this issue? I've already tried rebooting my router and closing my browser and logging back in. The error reads

"General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

Got error 28 from storage engine [1030]

An SQL error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact the Board Administrator if this problem persists.

Please notify the board administrator or webmaster: eplaya at burningman dot com"

edit: a little bit of RSR via google later and https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop ... &t=2098193 says "That error means that your MySQL server doesn't have enough disk space to complete the operation. You'll have to contact your host about this."
Sounds like I won't be reading PM's till after the burn then. Oh well.
