Can I remove a post from "your posts"?
Can I remove a post from "your posts"?
this link is usually where I look for replies to things I've commented on. Is there a way to remove a thread from that list?
If you want to make a reply about my personality instead of about what this thread is about, don't clutter this thread, post over here instead.

There is not. Any thread you post in will always be there.

Once something has been online for 10 or 15 minutes, it's stored & indexed somewhere. The Wayback Machine is marvelous, but it's patchy. That said, it's also not the only place online storing information.eldergeekaz wrote:And when the WayBackMachine gets it, it is there for eternity.....

I don't mind the post being archived. I still want to go back and check on it occasionally. I just don't want it to pop to the top of my list when someone replies to it.eldergeekaz wrote:And when the WayBackMachine gets it, it is there for eternity.....

There is nothing we can do about that. It's beyond the software's capabilities.sparr wrote:I just don't want it to pop to the top of my list when someone replies to it.

Re: Can I remove a post from "your posts"?
Sorry, as others have noted there are no abridged editions. However, if you only want to selectively follow certain threads... you may want to look at subscribing to topics. you can set the flag to automatically subscribe when you reply (click the 'notify me when a reply is posted' checkbox beneath the message entry window), or uncheck it if it's currently checked and you known you don't want to follow responses in that topic (it's a sticky setting). You can later un-subscribe to a topic if you're no longer interested in following it, and it's worth pointing out that you can subscribe to a topic without having to post a reply.
