Attachment quota

Whats going on with the ability to attach photos? Whenever I try to attach a picture, even a small one (250k) the status error reads "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached."

Is it a simple server storage capacity thing made complicated by having to hose out years of old posts and files?

Nothing is ever easy is it?

Just curious if you knew about this error. I figure in the next month or two people are going to be posting a whole lot more than they are now.

Also, thanks for keeping this board running, I for one appreciate what you do.

On my screen the black BURNING )( MAN heading banner is covering all of my features at the top such as: home, quick links, chat, notifications, and PM. I can't click on any of those, is this just me and my computer? Anyone?...

Jackass it's just you. You need to tie down your 'Home, quicklinks and chat' bar. I think the wind carried it up and under the ePLAYA header.

I dunno, it's done this before a few times randomly. Doesn't last this long normally. Maybe the board's getting buggy, a little twitchy... Minor tune-up?

You can post photos that are hosted on the web someplace else. It just won't accept any uploaded photos from your computer.

I did a test, definitely can't post an inline image. This is something Trilo's going to have to look into. I've PM'd him.

I believe there is a global forum setting which restricts the total space allocated for images (TOTAL ATTACHMENT QUOTA). It is to prevent the server hard drive from being filled to capacity. May be running into that?

That was it. Trilo upped the cap, and will clear out orphaned attachments when he gets a chance. If anyone hits this cap again, please PM either Trilo or myself. We should be good for a while though.

Yep, Lots of toggles on the back end of these forums..... User, group, global, other and usually a setting for the same thing in all three catagories. Adds to the fun!!
