Shipping art crates directly to BRC?

Post by JSTUDENT » Sun May 01, 2022 3:08 pm

Hi there,
Does anyone know (or is working with) any shipping company that can deliver crates directly to Burning Man this year (2022)? I know of the Outside Services (OSS) Program and the Special Recreational Permits (SRP) that delivery providers need but it's too late to apply for these now.

Our collective is based in Germany and we've managed to get Cross-Atlantic shipping sponsored to Greenville, SC but now we need to find a way to get the art from there to the Playa and back. The art is in 4 crates weighing ~4500lbs total so hitching a ride with other art teams or theme camps turns out to be tough.

Please let us know if you've done this before or if you have any recommendations for us.
Thanks!
Joerg

I think if the driver has a vehicle pass, (early entry pass too?) and a ticket, you can drive into the event. Best of luck to you. Do you have contact with art placers? Have you asked them?

Roll on through, Tumbleweed.
