A small group of us are bringing an art installation to the playa this year called Zhina (https://zhinaart.com). We need a couple of gas powered post drivers to drive 1.5" pipes (OD 1.9") to pound 60 12' posts 3' deep in the playa.
We don't have enough money to buy two new ones at around $1500 each and figured it is worth asking here, maybe we find one or two that are sitting in someone's garage or barn somewhere. I would love to borrow, rent, or buy one or two of them. If you have any connections or know of one somewhere please connect me with them. Any help is greatly appreciated.
And just to make sure it is clear, this is an example of driver I am looking for:

Re: Looking for two gas powered post drivers
Just for archival reason and maybe to help someone with the same question. This worked almost perfectly for us. We installed 43 12' tall 2"SCH40 steel pipes 3' into the playa with great Percision and most came out pretty square and level. It wasn't easy but totally doable. I think we were driving posts for maybe a little bit over a solid day with two crews running two post drivers. 4 people/10-11 hours total work.
Some posts didn't go in the full 3', guessing we hit some rock or a particularly layer of hard playa so we ended up cutting a few inches off the top of a few of them but all went in over 2.5' easily.
Taking the posts out was less than a min with high lift jack with a custom bracket and chain. Teardown was a breeze.
