I thought I'd share my successful maze-building results with those considering the construction of a maze for Hallowe'en or BM04 or just for grins......I have two EZ-UP 10'x10' canopies which form the superstructure of the maze- using 1/2" conduit as "curtain rods" I hung 8' lengths of 30" wide vinylized fabric that I was given a gigantic roll of by a local thrift store. Strips of lath (bundle of 50- about five bucks) stiffened the hanging sections, which drape on the ground a little to add stability. I was surprised to discover how complex a maze can be crammed into a 10'x20' area, especially when the outsides and area between the canopies are used. Black plastic around the outside makes it dark enough that EL wire and 12v car strobes light the corridors just right. Add hanging rubber snakes, skeleton stencils, cobwebs and black-clad volunteer spooks and start scarin'!
For next year I'm planning canvas panels, painted black and silkscreened with scary themes, and hung on 32" conduit rods with couplers on the ends to create infinitely recombineable maze setups. The whole kit packs in a big box, save for the canopies! Hats off to Flight To Mars for the inspiration.......

Have you ever considered changing your handle to "B.F. Skinner Guy?"Chai Guy wrote:I have a better idea....
Get some of the electronic dog collars, the kind that zap the dog when he strays out of the yard. Then set up the maze using those lasers, blindfold the particpants and Voila, instant maze. You can have martinis for the people that are able to find their way to the center.
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.
