Do you have or can you contribute 32x32 or 64x64 burning man logos (animated is better)?
I'll have a couple of display panels (one on my shirt and a bigger one: 1m x 1m).
The smaller one can display 24x32 pixels while the bigger one can display 64x64 pixels.
Looks like this:
http://marc.merlins.org/perso/arduino/p ... lipos.html
I would love gifs of the burning man itself, preferably in that size already (shrinking an image that small seldom looks good).
If there are no gifs like this around, but you are a pixel artist, or would like to become one, I would love your contribution: https://www.piskelapp.com/
Given the robot theme, I'm also interested in animated gifs of robots in the same size.
Thanks,
Marc

Luap, thanks a lot for this one.
May I ask, did you make it yourself, or you found it somewhere?
I'll definitely make use of this one.
To answer your question, my panel is 24bit color, so colors are not a problem, but I can also use B&W.
I'm also trying to find one that has the arms go down, then middle and then up.
I'm not sure if you were there, or saw the 2007 burn pictures, the man was down during the whole week, like this:
http://marc.merlins.org/perso/bm/2007/P ... an_Day.jpg
and then its arms went up during the burn:
http://marc.merlins.org/perso/bm/2007/P ... reShow.jpg
http://marc.merlins.org/perso/bm/2007/P ... n_Burn.jpg
Either way, what you already sent me is very valuable, thank you.

I'm giving this a nudge to the Building & Making Art board, since that's a better fit.

@trilobyte, thank you for finding the right group for me, I kind of struggled with this.
@luap a huge thanks again, and to show you it wasn't wasted effort
It is just about 1 meter high and if all goes well, will be displayed along other demos at dustfish 09:30 & Esplanade

If anyone has other 64x64 gifs I should try, please send them my way

COOL - I'm glad it worked. I did make the animated gif myself, from the original 'official' static svg on wikipedia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burning_M ... ng-Man.svg
If I find time today, I'll see about a version of the 'arms down', rising/green, and up/on fire version from your pix.

I spent all of yesterday and today on my animated gifs matrix and IR
code, and found a nice set of 27 gifs:
If you happen to have your own you'd like to share and for me to
display, send them over.
They must be 64x64 pixels and ideally below 100KB.
Thanks, Marc

Ok, youtube is failing at letting me remove the part of the music that causes them to block the video. Sigh...

Tell him to come see it, it will be set in place and won't be moving.

9:25 & Esplanade, if it is 10' by 10' We might just see late at night some change in light intensity.

Yeah, big sound camps will not be far, you may just be right about "just a small little change in light intensity"

Well, the board somehow survived all of burning man and was enjoyed by plenty.Luap wrote: ↑Fri Aug 10, 2018 12:57 pmCOOL - I'm glad it worked. I did make the animated gif myself, from the original 'official' static svg on wikipedia:

Thanks for providing animated gifs for it, hopefully you got to see them.

I added a few burning man pictures at the bottom of http://marc.merlins.org/perso/arduino/p ... ED-IR.html
Otherwise, also posted my usual full burning man report (very late, but it's big)

Thanks for the pics
Somewhere halfway down a list of pictures:
Solar Panels >> 12.67V @ 0.755A is not half of load 12.13V @ 5.31A
Load is about 5.3/0.75 ~~ 7 times the charging capacity.

For solar, you are comparing the wrong numbers
581Wh produced vs 1184Wh used.
You were looking at instant use vs instant production.

Hi Marc, I saw your illuminated shirt from pretty far away, as you were walking along the Esplanade around the 9:30 area. It looked very cool in its 'fire' mode as I recall, so I bicycled over and at that point recognized you as the guy who has posted quality Burning Man photos in the past. We chatted briefly, at which point I had to scramble off to catch up with my friends on bikes. Almost lost them in the crowd, haha! Anyhow, your shirt display was very effective, and noticeable even amongst all the other shiny things on the Esplanade! Good job sir!

@burner van braun:
cool that we had a quick chat, or even cooler that you somehow remembered me from previous reports I've done. It's a big playa
Glad you liked the shirt and the display.
Cheers, Marc
