Interested in building a kickass Mutant Vehicle

Post by esinar » Fri Feb 07, 2014 3:21 pm

Builders, Industrial Artists, Designers, Welders, and the mechanically inclined - read on...

I'm based in San Francisco and am thinking of doing a MV/art car for this year's burn and have a general concept in mind but need to assemble the team to discuss it, explore possibilities, come up with a design, determine feasibility, and if it's a go, to do it!

If you're interested, send me a private message.

“Hello artists and craftsmen. I’m looking to commission a Mutant Vehicle after my own idea, and I have $20,000 budgeted and on hand. The MV will look like a camel, though teh legs may be dramatically shortened to make this practical to build and drive. It should carry 12 people and have four-wheel-drive in case of bad dust dunes. The camel's head must move in a realistic manner, specially the characteristic sideways jaw movement. Lightign, music-system, and a small bar must be covered by the basic budget. Proposals now invited.”

I'm giving this a nudge over to the Transportation board, since that's a better fit for preparation questions. The year-specific mutant vehicle board is intended more for announcing and updating people on specific plans and vehicles, and from the original post it doesn't sound the project is that far along yet.
