The couches I've seen are quite tall. I'm not sure that I could get on one. Of course, you can use a chair as the base like the cupcakes...
Google image "burningman cupcakes" and you'll see what I mean.

Sounds like an awesome project!
Be careful of a clear shell. The Playa is usually in the 90's and a clear, enclosed structure quickly becomes an oven!
If your heart is set on a clear shell, plan to include a beefy air conditioning system.
Take a look at our Mobility Camp Website (mobilitycamp.org) and especially the section on "Prepare your chair" it has good hints on how to protect electrical connections. Both for your chairs and your vehicles.
Playa dust is super fine, corrosive and conductive even when dry!
Can't wait to see it in the Dust!!!

Uh... that conversation all took place six years ago...
By the way, the biggest problem with clear panels (aka “windows” lol) on a Mutant Vehicle isn’t heat, it’s visibility. They’ll be dusty and dirty and hard to see through, especially at night.
If you wanna see anything they need to open. But it’s good to be able to close up for dust storms.

Yeah I saw that. I hooped because it will remind me to look at rat lady’s info regarding protection of your wiring. I sure I’ll fuck it up somehow though.Captain Goddammit wrote: ↑Sat Feb 16, 2019 8:38 amUh... that conversation all took place six years ago...
