Argh! Burner Profiles kicked me out!
I was ready and waiting and got kicked out promptly at noon. Now it won't let me back in. I guess I won't be getting tickets this year. Wah!

Logged in a few minutes before noon, waited for the button to appear, about 30 seconds after noon got database error message instead. Decided to refresh, page doesn't load at all. Ah well...

I'm not registered for the sale, and unable to see/recreate what you're experiencing. Hang in there.
Re: It's... the 2016 OMG Sale Thread!
I have to say I didn't really expect to see an error message like "ERROR: Database Error (' + r.error + ')" - seems a little mickey mouse

Yep, that's the one. And now is the time where I say, perhaps, that database error messages and flat out blank pages are no way to handle a ticketing queue. Yes I know, blah blah blah. But for Pete's sake...Sgt Pepper wrote:Got this error too

UPDATE: refreshed again, tickets gone. Not upset about not getting tickets, just once again user experience sucks.

Happening to me too. I was booted from Profiles promptly at noon and it won't even load the page for me now. Guess I'm not getting tickets this year.

Don't give up so quickly. There are some technical issues in play but the tech team are working hard to get them resolved. I'll post more as soon as I'm able.

Getting all the same Errors, even tried to open it on my iPhone and all I can get is "500 Internal Server Error".
Really disappointed with all the sale crashes this year.
Re: Argh! Burner Profiles kicked me out!
Profile page went down for us too. I didn't get any notice about a unique code though. Where did you get that info from?

Ahhh. In good ole burner fashion. Database attack? I reloaded the page several time after the database error, hit the OMG sale Button 7 different times, & ??? Never saw a confirmation. Now it finally reloads & shocker - No more tickets.

Re: It's... the 2016 OMG Sale Thread!
I was logged in early, clicked on the button less than a second after it popped up and nothing by 12:13 (3:13 EST). So I refreshed. Because that's what everyone I know who got tickets did during the main sale. This time, it immediately gave me a "There are no more OMG tickets available." So much for that plan. Stuck wondering if I would have gotten the tickets if I would have been patient like I was the main sale for an hour

Re: It's... the 2016 OMG Sale Thread!
I was in watching the countdown from 11am onward. At 11:59 the counter started asking really weird and flashing between different numbers. Finally at noon, nothing.
I waited for a minute, opened another browser & nothing was loading. Finally got the button and clicked it & it was sitting there for a while and when I tried to refresh, it didn't load.
Kept watching and then the "enter sale" button reappeared. Clicking on it and then immediately got in for tickets.

Re: It's... the 2016 OMG Sale Thread!
No attack by malicious forces, but essentially ALL ticket on-sale events are an attack on a server system. Especially when demand is significantly higher than supply. Basically, if there was unlimited server capacity then in less time than you can blink an eye, supply would be gone.
Of course server capacity is never unlimited, so even if everything is working it might take several blinks.

data error my ass! just a way to screw the masses!
Re: It's... the 2016 OMG Sale Thread!
Clicked the button at noon, got the error, followed by blank pages, error 505 errors and now the tickets are gone.
Similar experience happened to me when trying to enter STEP at noon back when it started too. You think they would have ironed this out by now. Aced out by glitches this year...

Re: It's... the 2016 OMG Sale Thread!
You definitely would have. I got in at the main sale even though we hadn't created our profiles. I had to refresh to get into the queue cause it froze up like it did today. I sat in the queue for about 40 minutes to see what would happen. I was able to put the tickets in my cart AND THEN IT ASKED FOR THE REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION NUMBER. I was so bummed. This is my first year trying to get tickets. I did not get tickets today either.

Waited for the 30 minute countdown, got the button and after about 5 minutes of waiting for it to load decided to reload and **wham** I'm in! Essentially, it's a lottery to whomever is lucky enough to get lucky.

Re: It's... the 2016 OMG Sale Thread!
At least 500 people will have gotten through when all is said and done (it's a thousand tickets with a limit of 2 per order, and I think Burning Man tends to average closer to 2 tix per order than 1). Maybe more factoring in vehicle passes, but that's what kind of numbers will have gotten through, versus the several thousand attempting to get tickets.

Re: It's... the 2016 OMG Sale Thread!
I've gotten confirmation from BMHQ that the sale has sold out fully. Those who got tickets (or a notification that they're in and are awaiting completion of their transactions... congratulations!!!

So should we keep staring at the "thinking" page? Or are they gone?
Re: It's... the 2016 OMG Sale Thread!
Not sure it's a real image, but someone just posted a OMG check out without the entertainment tax added. Not sure how that got missed (if it's not a shopped image).
Lots of gnashing of teeth, but the reality is - there were far more people (Like WAY WAY WAY) trying to get tickets today than there were tickets available.
Congrats to the lucky few. The those that weren't lucky, keep your chin up. Aftermarket will pick up as we get closer. (as it does every year)

Re: It's... the 2016 OMG Sale Thread!
This was another debacle.
The counter went from 5 seconds down to 1, then back to 3, then to 0, then (about 2 seconds later), the button appeared. I clicked and then got a spinny thing, which I still see:

Apparently I very lucky to see the button even appear.
In a different browser, clicking the button produces the message that all the tickets are gone.
Someone in our camp got a vehicle pass from the OMG sale. Everyone else saw errors or the spinny thing. Anyone actually get tickets?

I wasn't kidding, tickets are all allocated and/or sold.

Re: It's... the 2016 OMG Sale Thread!
Heard from my long time burner buddy. He got the spinner and eventually, maybe ten minutes in, refreshed and got the button again to enter the sale, clicked it then immediately got the message that he was in and able to buy tickets. He is still in shock.
Question is, was he already in, or did he reload at the exact right time.

Re: It's... the 2016 OMG Sale Thread!
It's one thing to get aced out by demand, I can accept that. Getting shutout by server side errors in multiple sale events is simply unacceptable. Makes it seem like the system is rigged somehow, even though it probably isn't. Most likely it is just incompetence . Can't help but notice the way over priced DaVinci tickets are still available.
