Barbie Death Village returns in 2016!

Line up the usual suspects, because the sickest bastards on the playa are returning for their 17th year! As Barbie Death Camp & Wine Bistro morphed into Barbie Death Village, our reach grows greater every year. But I promise: This is the last territorial demand that BDV will place on the playa. Until Poland is occupied, but I digress. We will be back with most of our sub-camps you have come to know and love: Barbie Day Spa, Thirteenth Barbie, Black Rock City Body & Paint, Barbie's Wine Bistro, Camp Hooker, and now our newest camp Devine Balance/Hestia's Temple Healing Arts Sanctuary. Some of our campmates will be bringing their tantric skills and I can't think of a better place to get a "yogasm". But wait, there's more! Hang out in our shaded piano lounge or join us in a thrilling game of Fizzball. Barbie Death Village: We have ways to make you party.

A shout out to all Barbiebarians: we received our Directed Group Ticket links! If you requested a link but have not heard back yet, you sadly did not make the cut. We had no fewer than 24 more requests than we were able to fulfill, even from dues-paying members, but we will set up our in-house ticket exchange so everyone somehow will be accommodated. If you did not get a DGS link I strongly suggest you sign up for the regular lottery. Don't shoot the messenger, we did the best job we could with limited resources.

Spent the better part of this morning clearing out and organizing the storage shed. I'd like to thank Wildman, Blowphish, Rob, Yvonne, Marci, Teri, Scott, Cap'n Joe, Jeff, Jewelz, and Frank for coming out and helping out. We are missing the large vinal Barbie Death Camp & Wine Bistro signs. If anyone knows their whereabouts please PM me. We're also missing the piano bench. Can't even imagine where it could be. We also took two old ovens to the dump and have replaced them with new ones. Yes, it's that time of year: Getting prepared for TTITD.

Fellow Barbiebarians I need your help! Does anybody know where our camp signs are, the large vinyl ones that read Barbie Death Camp & Wine Bistro? We have cleared out the storage shed and tore apart the silver trailer and no signs anywhere. They aren't on either of the mutant vehicles either. If anyone has clue one as to their whereabouts, please shoot me an email. The cost to replace them is not exactly in our budget.

Happy news: Blowphish and I tore apart the storage shed and found the BDC&WB large vinyl signs! We had to move the piano, a couple of water barrels, three ice chests, four tables, a box full of Barbie parts, three boxes of Otter Pops (the large ones), a picnic table, six chairs, and an empty bottle of absinthe. Well, it wasn't exactly empty when we found it, but it somehow ended up that way. Now some other news: All five of our sofas for the camp have been trashed. They got soaked over the winter and smelled worse than the men's locker room at a federal prison in Alabama. So we need to replace all of them. If you are a Barbiebarian and have a sofa we can liberate, let me know, m'kay? We have budgeted buying used ones (or finding them on Craig's List) but if you have one, so much the better.
