Camp ThumpThump seeks Rhythmic Creatives!

Hi everyone!

We're an ART SUPPORT CAMP seeking a few like-minded folks who may need a home base to pitch a tent!

Our 2016 Piazza installation, I Tamburisti di FIREnze, will be a recreation of a 16th century drum-making guild at the foot of The Man. You know that phrase, "It takes a village?" Our project really does! While we have a solid confirmed crew of 19 amazing burners, we still have room for a few more drummers, drum-builders, and other volunteer-minded rhythmic creatives in camp.
Last year we had 30+, and in 2016 we’d like to keep things a smaller, maxed at 25.

Keep in mind that we will spend almost all of our time drumming and simultaneously teaching folks to build drums down at the Piazza, so if you're looking for a fancy place to stay or party, that's not us. We work hard each day to bring our gift to the playa, and although camp is very much "no-frills", we definitely make sure it's somewhere we want to come home to at the end of the night. Shaded chill space, CHECK. Shower, CHECK. Kitchen space, CHECK. Camp cook with a meal-plan option, CHECK. Grey water tank, CHECK. If you're someone who understands the power of volunteerism as a gift on playa, and you're interested in helping out or camping with our group of Thumpers, let us know!
