Element 11 or SOAK? Where to go?

Hello,

as far as I can see this years Element 11 and SOAK will be held on the same weekend

Any suggestions (experiences) where to go? What are the differences?

It seems there are a couple really obvious differences... one's in Oregon in a decidedly wetter forest environment, the other's on the salt flats. Otherwise, they're both great regional burns - assuming you're fine with either climate there's probably no bad choice.

there is a reason SOAK is called SOAK. windward side of a coastal rain forest.

Element 11 is no longer on salt marsh, we have moved further north, above the Great Lake, on ranch land. Desert dry, with a lot of dust and sage brush and scorpions. Our winds will test your playa gear thoroughly. Astonishing night sky, the ranch is called Stargazer with good reason.

Very nearly sold out too. Hop on it. Theme this year is Jackalope Rodeo.
