Thank you, although the Utah burners on FB need your love too. I was fortunate in that I was on the other side of the effigy with Larry, taking the fuel cart away from the intense heat. I heard the runner cry and saw the firemen go after him, but did not see his dive into the flames. There are many people in a lot of pain, who are hurting and confused. If you can give them a good word and a hug, I know it would be appreciated.

Omg I'm so sorry you were there major hugs. As someone who has deblt with mental illness my heart aches. I can't even start to imagine what he was feeling at that time. I wish he could have been helped.
My thoughts are with his family and friends along with the people who attended. I have heard some stories from people who were there and I can not imagine seeing what they said they saw. It has been on my mind all day. What sadness.

Suicide happens around us all every day but this kind of public act hurts us as at the core as a community and a family. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go to you and all that had to witness this horrible thing, especially to the Rangers, staff and firefighters.

So true. For those of you who haven't been there, there being that place where everything--physical, mental, and emotional--hurts, down, down, down, to the bone stfu. I'm confused and I find it harder & harder to tell if you're being snarky or just mean spirited. (But I am dense that way).

I suspect that you are not attacking Elliot for bring such a kind, helpful, & overall very likeable guy that everyone who knows him (personally or through his posts) want to support him during a rough time. I assume that you are venting about all the cowardly asshats leaving hurtful comments & making jokes about what happened at e11(not so much here that I have seen, but elsewhere).
It just doesn’t come out that way upon first read.

But you can’t compare compassionate people supporting a friend with idiots making light of a stranger in a horrible situation. Because most of those people supporting a friend would share the love with a stranger too. They are totally different classes of people that would probably never act like the other.
Fortunately it’s been my experience that “burners” tend to be passionate, energetic people that care very much for friends & strangers alike.

I'm with you Tiahaar. I'm really hoping this is Fishy being inept at getting her point across, and not what it seems it could be.

There is a video of the burn going around and of him at the burn. No I will not post the link and no if you email me I will not give it to you. From what I could see he looked "happy" or I guess as happy as one could be.he was indeed dancing and throwing his arms up. He paused a second then ran/danced his was into the flames. From the angel it was taken at I did not see anyone running after him as he just looked like one of those hippies dancing to the movement of the flames. But I also couldn't see to his left. It was quite strage to see this all. The fire fighters who ran after who realized what had happend walked back at a normal pace from the fire. I know if it was me I would have RAN to the nearest fire truck. Idk. Maybe they realized there was nothing that could do as it was a 2,200 degree fire.
But like I said, he looked "happy" it could have been drugs, it couldn't have been. No one really know. All I know is the community lost one of our own, a lot of people are at loss and this may be a learning tool. I don't know.
