Hello all!
After gone to BM twice, this year I'm going to AfrikaBurn. We're going with a big camp of about 40 people.
I've been looking to find the best and cheapest way to get water for everyone to the Tankwa Karoo. For BM it was easy to figure that out, but for Afrika not so much for some reason.
Is there anyone that has experience in taking a big theme camp to AfrikaBurn and how did you sort our water over there?
Happy to hear your thoughts!
Many thanks,
Wen

I'm guessing you might find someone here to contact about that. http://afrikaburn.com/participation-forms/contact These are people that have already been and would know all the ins and outs.

ZA is a beautiful and amazing country. If you have the opportunity, extend your stay, even visiting neighboring countries. There are many commercial overland touring companies operating out of South Africa. South Africa and Botswana are the best on the continent at preserving endangered wildlife, though Kruger is now under poaching pressures from Mozambique. The Indian Ocean Coast has warm waters and surfing.
ZA has a strong community of overland wilderness camping, see http://www.4x4community.co.za/forum/sho ... ?p=2635127 for instance.
Are you arriving by Capetown? Worchester should have supplies. Ride sharing with overland equipped South Africans could lead to some lifelong connections.
(I have been in Western Cape & Northern Cape, but not had to get water for camping there)
