Michael Benisty (not a fan) Sculptures in Colorado

I am not a fan of Michael Benisty because I spend a lot of time in the art contemporary art world. But public art curation can be more crowd-pleasing and less idea-based. In the art school world, there is a saying "If you can't make it good, make it big, if you can't make it big, make it red, and if you can't make it red export it then bring it back into the country.

Benisty goes for making it shiny standing in for red, and hits the ex/im part by being from Europe and fabricating in China. Maybe he is trying to make a reference to 1989?

But, hey, if his sculptures sell tickets, fine.

The ORG gets 10% of playa art work resold off playa by playa artists who sign the contract. This artwork would be in the upper 6 figures, so 10% of that.
