Reading the Survival Guide, I noticed there was no mention of the Dance Music Zone - especially the availability of porta-potties in deep playa. There is also no mention of noise management with larger art cars being directed to this zone for their music events.

After testing the concept in 2015-16, was it canceled this year?

I personally think it's a successful addition. In 2015 extra portos were purchased and placed out there. (Bringing the grand total to 1275 units.) Bring an extra roll of paper with you to help stock them at night. Now, if garbage-heads would just stop with all the moop it would be perfect.

Please gods let there be a DMZ again. It made the city SO much more quiet. Best of all, it gave a place for all the Default-world celebrity chasers to go dance and MOOP so I could easily avoid them.

I finally found a reference in the Mutant Vehicle Sound policy although it is not marked on the 2017 map that was released this week.
