Flunked math right out of college. But last year I won the True Full Ticket Price calculation contest hereabouts.

2017

Ticket: $425.00 plus 9% tax = $463.25
Plus processing per item $12.00 = $475.25
Plus 9% tax on $8.00 worth out of the $12 (weird!) $0.72 = $475.97.

Next,
Vehicle Pass $80.00
Plus processing $12.00 = $92.00
Plus that 2/3 of 9% tax $0.72 = $92.72

So,
One Ticket and one Vehicle Pass = $568.69
Or, two Tickets = $951.94
Or, two Tickets and one Vehicle Pass = $1,044.66

And then... PLUS,
Regular US shipping, or Will Call, $12.00 per order.
Or,
"Deluxe" US shipping per order $22.00.

Canada shipping is $29 or $39.

Remember to add in your preferred flavor of shipping to the above larger sums.

That's my understanding of the $-numbers this year -- in case this is useful to somebody.

Thanks Elliot! I was so hoping someone would do the math (never my strong suit) I had tried to figure it out 4 different times and each time I got a different answer.

As I recall, that's what happened to some extent on last year's thread on this topic. I had it right then, and hopefully now, and I think I can thank my incessant stubbornness. LOL

In other news....
Here are the numbers for Low Income tickets:

Ticket alone: $231.82.
Ticket and Vehicle Pass: $324.54.
Visa or Mastercard at Will Call, only. Debit card OK, so long as it has the Visa or Mastercard logo.

It finally dawned on me... it would be more useful to have the "total total" numbers including shipping. Since there are two speeds of shipping, there are two numbers for each purchase-combination.
Will Call costs the same $12 as regular shipping.

1 ticket $475.97 + $12 shipping = $487.97, or $22 shipping = $497.97


1 Ticket & 1 Vehicle Pass $568.69 + $12 shipping = $580.69, or $22 shipping = $590.69


2 Tickets $951.94 + $12 shipping = $963.94 or $22 shipping = $973.94


2 Tickets & 1 Vehicle Pass $1,044.66 + $12 shipping = $1,056.66, or $22 shipping = $1,066.66


Canada shipping -- add $17 to either flavor of shipping.

The Low Income numbers I posted earlier already include the $12 "shipping".

Well, my calculation was accurate, and the number was off by $0.72.
Last year, they charged the same tax on the Vehicle Pass Processing Fee as on the Ticket Processing Fee. (This seemed wrong to me, but....)
This year they did not. (I was right! LOL) And I see that they have recently updated the ticket page to clarify this. (I copied the whole ticket page earlier, so I was able to compare.) They now state: "Vehicle passes and their service fees are not taxed."

So.... I salute Burning Man for catching the (tiny) error, and then clarifying how it really works!

I can afford to buy the tickets but it's getting to the limit of what I'm willing to pay for them.

Unless there's been a change since the price was posted on the ticket info page low income tickets are still $190 same as every other year and will call does take cash. I've paid cash both times I picked mine up.
