Hi to all burners,
I'm a virgin and very exited to get there this year!
I have a quick question:
- I bought a ticket from Main Sale ($425) on the 29/03
- I bought a VP ticket from 1200$ SALE on the 10/04
I have read (after buying the VP ticket) that VP on the 1200$ can only be bought with a 1200$ ticket. And if not VP ticket will be cancelled.
Right now I still have my VP ticket in my account.
The question is : will they cancel my VP ticket or the fact that I have it on my account means it is ok?
Thank you very much for your answers.
See ya there,
The french burner

If you really want to know, contact 'ticketing'. We are just a bunch of burners with various opinions.

I would count on it being cancelled, but who knows, maybe there will be some SNAFU that grants you that VP. You should contact ticketing as Ratty suggested to find out.
Really, the order should not have gone through in the first place if they wanted to prevent people from buying those separately. It's not like we can count on TicketFly to handle such cases correctly anyway though.

Re: VP from 1200$ SALE and ticket from Main Sale ($425) : is it ok?
Sorry, I may be misunderstanding, but if someone only got one ticket in the main sale (first) and then decided to buy a second ticket at the VIP level, why is that a problem of any kind (assuming they want 2 tickets and have the $$)?
I understand why buying a pre-sale expensive ticket first and then trying for the main sale second is a lame move (presumably ditching the pre-sale ticket for a price somewhere between $425 and $990), but why is the reverse a problem?
Thx.

Andy that isnt the issue here. The original poster bought a vp by its self. With out buying one of the higher priced tickets. Thats not allowed. The vp may get cancelled

Sorry, my bad, I somehow morphed "VP" (Vehicle Pass) into "VIP" (VIP ticket). Now I get it. Thanks for taking the time to clear it up for me.
I'm in the midst of a similar question about the rules, which is sort of why I got confused. I bought one ticket in the pre-sale, and I have someone who wants to go with me who is up for a normal priced ticket but the pre-sale price is out of their range. So, I tried for Main Sale for the second ticket, didn't get lucky, and just registered for STEP in case that works out. But, then noticed that the STEP rules say you can't sign up if you have bought any kind of ticket in any kind of sale. The rule seems clear, but I sent in a question about whether this counts if you only bought 1 of 2 possible tickets in the sale, as my situation seems unusual (since I'm not trying to play the "buy a pre-sale, buy a Main Sale, ditch the pre-sale" game, just trying to bring someone to the playa who isn't able to do the pre-sale price).
Anyway, I had VIP on the brain and misunderstood what the OP was talking about. Sorry for the clutter. 119 days ...

Ratty,
Were you working Greeter on Tuesday afternoon in 2016 by any chance? I think I was welcomed by you! 36 hours of travel, ideal way to hit BRC just as a dust storm blew through and held us all up, but a nice welcome nonetheless!
