Can a vehicle pass be used by two different vehicle drivers?

Hi Burner friends...
I can't seem to find an answer to this one anywhere: we are lucky to have two tix and a vehicle pass, and are looking for a second VP. My husband wants to accompany me to the playa for a few days, but must leave early, and so will drive a separate car (assuming we get a second VP). Question: once he is back in Reno, can he give that VP to another person to use for entry later in the week? I have a friend who wants to come join me for a few days at the end of the event.
Thanks for any insight y'all can offer.

Nope. When you enter the event your VP will be firmly attached to your windshield. It can't be removed intact. One car per pass.

Yep, the VP stays affixed to the car.

However, I'm not sure what the procedure might be if your husband let your friend borrow his car once he leaves the event. Would he need to inform gate, get VP scanned, etc., on the way out?

You anticipated my next question, M. von Braun! Can the same car enter twice with the same VP, and is there an in-out fee for this?

I'm answering and closing this thread up.

What the others said (and I believe is posted on the ticket support web site), vehicle passes are not transferable.

As for the same driver & vehicle leaving and then returning, yes that is possible. Burning Man calls it an in-and-out pass (and I believe it's posted on the main site someplace).

When leaving, each person in the vehicle planning for re-entry needs to make sure:
  • You have your physical ticket with you
  • Your vehicle pass is intact and on display
  • You're wearing clothes and look presentable for society (you'd be surprise how many ppl forget about decency laws)
At the gate, tell them that you need to purchase an in-and-out pass.
