Lost wedding ring attached to pendant - crazy story included.

My partner and I have been married since December 2016, but without any rings. One of our dearest friends gifted us two beautiful rings after an spontaneous wedding ceremony at the burn this year. I attached mine to a Camp Penchant pendant around my neck in hopes of keeping it away from the dust. The pendant + ring + attached LEDs quickly became an important part of me and my first burn.
In a burst of prancing bliss (near 8pm and Awe) on Sunday morning, it fell off my neck unnoticed.
A few hours later, I started searching my camp (Prometheatrics, 7:45 and Esplanade) for the ring. Here's the kicker: the first camp-mate I came across had found the ring + pendant (near 8pm and Awe) and <pause for suspense> unknowingly gifted it to a passerby! Too strange. At least he had a good recollection of what the recipient looked like. And yes, we triple checked the item he found was indeed the one I lost.
I spent the next few hours foolheartedly asking nearby camps if they had a member in his 40s/50s with broad shoulders, black/grey facial hair, and a large black warrior cape. This endeavor ended as you might expect...
I know my chances here are slim as well, but thought it'd be worth posting if only to share this story. See attached photos of the ring, which is a dark mood ring. I'd guess it's still attached to the Camp Penchant pendant.
