11:40: Does my code work? Is this one of the sales that will have a waiting room? They don't tell us how it will work, so let's try it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

11:41: Code not valid yet, fair enough, let's try later.

11:45: How about now? Not yet? Fine. Let's try later.

11:55: Should work now, right? No? Hmm.

11:58: I guess no waiting room this sale. Let's try to click in right at noon.

11:59: Try again. Page is pretty slow. Uh-oh. OK, code still not valid yet.

12:00: Page unavailable error, gah.

12:01: Still unavialable

12:02: Still unavailable

12:03: This sale isn't going well.

12:04: OK finally! Hmm, no green man, just an Eventbrite waiting room. Wait, Eventbrite? No Ticketfly?

12:05 to now: "You're currently in the waiting room" -- no sense of where in queue you are, no sense of how many tickets are left, no progress marker

Meanwhile, zero of my friends who tried got a ticket. And I'm seeing reports that it was sold out at 12:09.

Is this really how we wanna run a rodeo? This is just embarrassing, that's the only word I can think of.

It finally let me in at 12:32pm PDT to show that all items were sold out. Except I can make a donation to the org! Wheeeeee

Horrible!!!

The Eventbrite site crashed. Then finally get into the Eventbrite purchase page, click order, and the page re-loads for 20 minutes this happens. Tickets available, then disappearing when you click order. Such a frustrating experience.

I could not agree more.

This whole first-come first-serve scene is ridiculous. They have a couple of days to register - why not accumulate buyers for a day or two - then have a true random access selection process.
