Ode to My Hydro:

Old friend,
our travels have been plentiful.
Beginning on the playa in 2016,
we have been north, south, east, and west,
before returning to our dusty home in 2018.
The stickers tell a story,
but only the surface.
Your dents tell another story,
but only one of my carelessness.
I apologize for each and every dent, dear friend (except the rad ones that lead to scrapes on the top of the bottle that now, thanks to paint chipping, look like a cave painting(: .)
I hope it is not why you left me.
I miss you dearly.
I hope our travels resume soon.
But if they do not,
I hope someone loves you like I do.
Thank you for your years of service.

I lent my overly-cherished, black hydroflask, littered with stickers of thalia surf shop, el cani santuary, big sur, croatia, joshua tree, access fund, and LIB, to a friend at the burn whose luggage was lost and he unfortunately misplaced it. I know it is just a water bottle, but the bottle has been on every trip I have been on in the past 3 years (I lied a little in my ode for no reason). It is the only momento I have from all of my travels other than my memories. My friends constantly make fun of me for misplacing keys, my phone, and my wallet, but never my water bottle. If anyone found it, I will happily pay you to ship it to me. If you found it and want to keep it, love it dearly. It's a damn tank.

Did you lose it during the week while lost & found was still open? The bottles, keys, eyeglasses, bike locks and shoes were in open bins where anyone could claim it. The goggles were hidden but my green fur ones never showed up there. Did lost & found drag all the lesser items over to Center Camp at the end of the week?
