First timer question - how to verify that ticket is real?

How can you tell if a ticket being sold is real? I've looked around the web for this answer but it has left me more confused. I'm looking for a vehicle pass and potentially a regular ticket for my wife but I have not been able to find if there is a way to verify that a ticket being sold is authentic. Thanks!

Nothing can absolutely guarantee tickets you buy are real---except buying directly from Burning Man. Tickets have not been sent out yet, so there is really nothing to sell to you until they are mailed.
