Our Camp is looking for live world music acts during the day to perform at the Hookah Dome. This will be a 40 foot air conditioned dome with seating. Acoustic acts and live performances are preferred, anything that is traditional to the culture. Belly Dancing, Sword Acts, Drumming, Satar and Story Telling would be a great addition to the admosphere. Please contact me and lets talk if you are interested.

About The Hookah Dome


After a 5 year hiatus, Hookahdome is igniting the ember we have held in our hearts, and fanning the flames of our collective drive to create something amazing. We are artists, musicians, yogis, dancers, builders, developers, entrepreneurs and DOERS, coming together to give the gift of service to the playa! We are rebuilding this camp from the ground up, and this is an amazing opportunity to share your skills, talents, and abilities, with the People of Burning Man!

Hookahdome provides a cooling oasis in the desert for weary travelers, and a chance to escape from the dust and heat and chaos of the outer world. Participants are invited to step through the the curtain of our silk draped dome and be whisked away to another realm. Inside our evaporation-cooled dome, we have lovingly crafted an experience that hearkens back to a classic, Middle-Eastern inspired "coffee house" environment.

Remove your shoes, lay down your burdens, and let our loving attendants ensure your comfort in our luxuriously cushioned, lantern-lit lounge. Fine shishah tobacco is served at 5 Hookah Stations encircling a center alter around which performances of live music and belly dance will delight your senses. Middle Eastern and World music performances will be featured, offering a musical oasis from the outer playa world. Tea and baklava are served to quench your thirst and whet your appetite.

The Main course is the alluring, intriguing and enlightening engagement with your fellow travelers. Wax philosophical, regale your fellows with tales of your journey, and make friends and lovers for a lifetime. Throughout HookahDome's illustrious history, business partnerships have been formed, marriages have been match-made, and babies born from the twinkle in their parents eye, sparked inside the HookahDome.

Outside will be a 23 ft tall, large-scale, wooden sculptural installation for participants to climb. Lit from within and around, this geometric wonder will beckon to you from across the playa. Music and dance performances on our exterior stage will lure Burners further into our courtyard and provide a soundtrack for our sensory playground.

Across from the playful structure, there will be fire dancing and aerialist performances inside a 23 ft tall geodesic sphere, as well as a flame effect system featuring poofers and torches to light the way in the dark and engage and excite our revelers.

In the central courtyard a Clear Cauldron of Fire calls to you with flames bubbling out of a 7' wide water feature, where participants can pass around ignited bubbles with much glee and excitement.

In the daylight hours, join us for aerial yoga workshops in our Positive-I Aerial Dome. Our instructors will deftly guide even the most novice of yogi's into the strong supportive stretches of their own aerial hammock. The colorful silks will remain hung from the dome during all hours, inviting passerby to dangle, hang, dance, and otherwise engage their bodies in our lushly decorated space.
