We're expanding our plans as well as our camp, and even though it's only March we're full up. I'm posting this to tell you about our plans, and to invite you to come by for a visit if you're in our neighborhood. We have been placed, and you can find us on Bacchus at around 4:45... just down the street from the new plaza at 4:30 & B.
Here's how the Brainy Bar works... each day we'll have one featured boozy drink, one non-alcoholic beverage (because we've all got friends who may not drink alcohol for one reason or another, and we want them to feel welcome and refreshed), and one topic of conversation (chosen on the day by the campmate running the bar). The topics can be anything (well, maybe anything except politics), and tend to be on the fun and silly side. The Brainy Bar space is a nice, shaded, loungey little spot with places to sit and relax, and we'll be expanding the size of the shaded lounge space and making a whole bunch of new art (several new murals and other pieces) in a victorian steampunk style. We'll also be building another steampunk airship outpost observation deck, which we think will provide an excellent opportunity to view passing airships (and other mutant vehicles) and the surrounding neighborhood from an elevated vantage point.
In addition to the bar service, we'll be introducing BRAINWASH! Think "workshop at Burning Man" meets old timey victorian salon. We'll be posting our schedules for brainy bar sessions as well as the brainwash salons on the boards at our camp at the start of burn week.

Occasionally in the mornings we'll serve fresh-baked cinnamon rolls, so if you're in the neighborhood on your way to or from one of the neighborhood coffee spots it might be worth stopping by. Once again, we'll have FANCY SHMANCY S'MORES on a few evenings during burn week. That's where we take the american campfire classic and turn it on its ear using artisanal cookies and marshmallows as well as posh chocolates, apply fire, and the results are yum!!!
Our awesome RUBBER STAMP BAR will be back for more! We will retire a couple older stamps, and make some new ones as well as re-ink the stamp pads....

It's a sign!

Again, our camp is currently full up and we are not looking for additional members at this time. I encourage camp seekers to read this post, we look forward to seeing everyone on the playa!
