I'd have been there if I could, but I missed the whole thing this year. The Meet'n'Greet is the highlight of the week, as far as I'm concerned. Sad that so few ePlayans made it there.

Just Joe, I'm glad I got to chat with you too. Anti M and Bob spelled backwards were a treat for me. (As well as everyone who came.) 2 pots of delicious something, a salami, olives, mushrooms, popcorn and cookies. A really great Brazilian pitcher of rum drink plus all the other drinks and ICE. It was more than enough for the small crowd. Next year have a sign up sheet, (like this year), and if nobody commits......

I know I’m a leading proponent of the “screw this” movement, but I think I a whole lot of the old eplaya crowd has just had enough.
I’ve only got a small handful of friends who still go.
The old eplayans kinda need to start a new, underground thing that totally sucks because it’s in a horrible place and has no services...

Alvord Desert

Graded gravel road access. Commercial hot spring. No mobile service.

There is also a small secret location about 4 hours from SEA we have used in a canyon with a walk to a stone-carved river for swimming and soaking.

I talked to a couple of others who decided not to go due to the threat of rain and high winds that evening. I hated missing it.

First, thanks to those intrepid eplayans who came to the Meet n Greet; it was great to see you all!

Several folks stopped by later in the week and said that they had heeded the dire storm warnings and huddled at home. (What storm? We were warned and battened down while prepping for the gathering, for naught).

For the record, Destiny Lounge is one of the better places to weather a storm; we're a comfy waterproof windbreak! During the great deluge several years back, we hosted an impromptu dance party for the neighbors, as we were the only dry spot on our block. Great fun!

Ratty, I do hope you'll not give up; let's give it the old Burner try again next year!

Back in the default world now sitting in McDonalds... what a difference. But you mentioning me brings me back to the dust even if only in my mind for now.

Those 3D glasses at Destiny Lounge were way cool.

I really enjoyed the meeting, it wasn't so "rushed", actually had time to have some nice conversations....I think Destiny Lounge 3D did a great job hosting. I played God for one call, too much pressure for me. That one call happened to be the one I needed at the time, stellar.
