I'm seeing posts from people saying that getting on and off playa was a much more streamlined process this year.
What have your experiences been?

We arrived around 4:00pm (local time), the Friday before the event started, and it took us about 4 to 5 hours to get through the gate. In our line, they were taking about 10 minutes to search all the vehicles. I heard that if you got there before 11:00am, there was no line at all.

We left early Monday morning and it took about 2 hours to get out.

Overall, not too bad at all.

I somehow managed to have no line at gate, and 4-hours for exodus. Not bad!

Monday build week, no line to enter. Tuesday after burn, No line to exit. AND no traffic on the freeways home.

Thursday afternoon build week, 3-4 hours despite a very short physical line. Heard after the fact that Gayte decided to have a 2 hour supervisor meeting on active shooter protocols during that time, leaving them short-staffed.

Sunday 7 pm Exodus, not bad until Gerlach. Gerlach to Empire was stop and go.

plus "Vacancy" signs on hotels, open seats at hotel bar, ….etc... early/late on a work pass is like getting upgraded to first class.
