NEW radio/audio/podcast series about BURNING MAN

Hey! We wanted to let you know about our new podcast series — THE INTERSECTION at BURNING MAN. It’s made by a couple of longtime Burners and focuses on inspiring / quirky / beautiful stories from the Burning Man community. They’re longer-form, sound-rich, magazine-style audio stories (think This American Life) that capture the gorgeous complexity of the playa.
Stories already on the podcast:
-A family building an art car for the first time and navigating the DMV (Department of Mutant Vehicles)
-The history of BM, including an alternative take from co-founder John Law
-Religious As Fuck, a Christian camp, on a mission, and it’s not what you think
-A camp of Burners with disabilities and a lot of radical inclusion
Episodes on their way:
-The native Paiute tribe who came before and still live in the area
-The people of Gerlach and what goes on there while we are, and aren’t, at Burning Man
-A story about radical inclusion and racial justice
-The intersection of sex, play, and consent
-How the Temple became a sacred space
Subscribe to THE INTERSECTION, look for Season 3, and give a listen! If you like what you hear, PLEASE share with your community! We want to counter the narrative that Burning Man is just a sex party in the desert for rich white people.
The series is free to listen to, and it is in partnership with KALW (a Bay Area indie radio station). This has been a real labor of love and we hope you like it (let us know)!
