The Oregon Country Fair began in Eugene Oregon in 1969 when Larry Harvey was 21 and living in Oregon. Did he ever go? No idea. The Oregon Country Fair Camp was an early BRC camp and brought the first internet to the playa in the mid? 1990s/

The Oregon Country Fair has the reverse problem of the Black Rock Playa, a river runs through their site which they own.

The BORG leadership is taking a kinder and gentler approach to placement and other matters, trusting burners to manage themselves more.

"No matter how hard you work, things break. We try to happy and friendly and apprise people of the problems without being dull."

Is a quote from this 10 minute documentary on the Oregon Country Fair.

nice post SSE. I've often considered attending OCF, just to see what is real and what is rumor. May never do it, but, it's a fun thought.
