Anti M's Home for Wayward Art

Post by AntiM » Fri Jan 17, 2020 4:56 am

Greetings.

Our tiny camp is in need of two new core members for set up and tear down. We're all getting older, and it will take two humans of reasonable physical ability to replace MyLarry. Set up is on Saturday and Sunday, tear down and trailer packing is Sunday, with Monday departure. We are in Hushville, so we cannot accommodate an RV, and we all must preregister with the village. Right now the camp is me, and five other people. They all volunteer quite a bit. We don't really do much in the way of events, the Home for Wayward Art is the main project, and once set up it takes minimal tending. I curate the art in the morning, and whoever is in camp at sunset closes it down in the evening.

A couple of friends who know each other or a couple is preferred as that makes it easier for me to make arrangements on the front end. We have no meal plan, but we do have a kitchen. No showers, but we do have solar power. The set up is two carports and the main shade, and the chickenwire art gallery, plus assorted art. We have a monkey hut which isn't always put up, but if you want shade for your tent, you're welcome to it. We do need ice runs, which are split up between camp members. Other than keeping camp tidy during the week, you'd be free range outside the set up and tear down.

Here's the 2019 post, it reads a little sad, but we made it through and are ready to come back strong:

Glad to see you, I saw you last year of course but always glad to see you again. I have no doubt you’ll find the 2 people to fit your needs.
Oh my god, it's HUGE!

I did, by posting on Reddit. Lovely couple, virgins, which is one of the Hushville things, acculturation. Actually, I get a few responses, so now I feel bad because I had to be the responsible adult and make decisions.

Don't feel bad - Choose whom will best fit for the situation. Heck I sent you a PM because I've been reading your post for quite a few years (I don't say (type) much) so I'm trying to get better about being a little more social. I've read many post about you and your beloved Larry, he will be missed, hugs to you.
Smile, who cares if you don't have all your teeth.
