Alamo rental.jpg
Yes, indeed.
It could be Alamo, Greenland, or an Alamo rental car.
But that when his Hitchcockian flock of coocoo birds finally flitters and squawks their way home to roost, he visits something – anything – called Alamo... is simply too delicious not to cherish!

On that note... I have closed my Facebook account.
Elliot, you can be proud to know me because I've NEVER had a Facebook account.

The limits of my personal hardcore political involvement is my advocacy for utility one-call education, my strong belief in underground damage prevention, and cash contributions to public radio. I listen to 'Car Talk' every weekend with relish of humor of the automotive genre.

Rhino... wanna make this a friendly competition?
I have never had a smart-phone (and most certainly do not want one).

My primary source of daily news is NPR's website. (Great minds think alike.)
In 2019, a member of my camp was a long-time NPR radio commentator.

An other news site, CNN, this morning reports that even Jared Kushner is trying to reel in his deranged father-in-law.
And Republican lawmakers are ranting against improved security in the Capitol. One wants to carry a pistol herself. My mind is replaying images of Iron Curtain legislators in fist-fights. We truly are a banana republic.

Elliot:

You got me slightly already. I say "slightly", my friend, because my iPhone is in constant use listening to podcasts. You MIGHT be disappointed in me with the number of pro wrestling podcasts I listen to:
"Busted Open" podcast, hosted by Dave La Greca
The Jim Cornette Experience
Jim Cornette's Drive-Thru
Jon Arezzi's Pro Wrestling Spotlight
Ron Fuller's Studcast
But I should be easily redeemed with my listening to the BBC's podcast from their world service. My only critique of the BBC is a female broadcaster who shall remain nameless who adds a strange British accent clipped sound that is the result of a suppository of (and my friends opinions are split on this) either ice cubes or corncobs.

Now, regarding media in camp - dude, the Black Rock Beacon (which I call home) has more and better media. Mitch, the camp manager and ofttimes editor, is a real-life regular contributor and writer for Bloomberg News regarding municipal bond trends and prices (as exciting as watching grass grow or paint drying). Rockstar, writer and assistant managerof the camp was at one time the world's first medical marijuana reviewer and critic for SF Weekly.

Sorry, it's been a month since I turned on the TV.

NPR News:
"FAA Cracks Down On Unruly Airline Passengers Ahead Of Biden Inauguration
January 13, 2021 • After incidents of Trump supporters engaging in threatening and disruptive behavior on flights to and from Washington, D.C., last week, the FAA enacts a "zero tolerance" policy.

I now expect a news-item along the lines of...
"Non-lethal strain of rabies becoming widespread in humans."
I mean... I am 69 years old, but I do not know adequately nasty words to describe the behavior of these alleged-humans!

You have me there, Elliot. Well played.

I ask forgiveness, and hope for some redemption, when I tell you that I still compose letters on a 1944 Underwood portable typewriter (the clack-clack-clack of the human-powered keys is soothing to me). This predates the IBM Selectric by a good 20-30 years.

Needs money. Lots of money.
Deutsche Bank ′cuts ties with Donald Trump′, won't have him as a customer anymore.
Stop the Steal is slowing down on the money it's raised.
What's left in the days available...
Resources. And let's see who will push the last chance at that pardon & clemency cash cow.

Well yeah he was disappointed by Trashy & Poor showing up!
  • Trashy & Poor ~= can't afford a pardon.
  • Flying in on your own or chartered private jet ~= can afford a pardon.
If the trashy & poor can't follow the instructions for meeting the criteria, there goes his anticipated revenue stream...
Video of him there checking out those who showed up before he went out and gave his pep talk. Also many of those who collaborated in the plan, of one type or another.

Hear, hear!
This is vitally important.

In other news....

We know he is evil.
We know he is stupid. How stupid?

If an item in today's news is accurate... he wants a 21-gun salute when he officially leaves office tomorrow.
He is so stupid, he does not realize people will immediately think "firing squad".

Dictatorships have traditionally air-brushed out and otherwise deleted disgraced officials from their history. Surely, Mr. Trump of all people would appreciate receiving such courtesy now.
