It makes sense their next anti cabal messiah would sidestep completely the elected political realm. Power based on money based on nothing really, still it’s power. A shaky scary unhinged sort. I guess we wait for him to say folks should be shot.

Gonna be sweet when that Tweet preview at the top no longer works because Twitter is gone.

Musk likely has bipolar disorder and he appears to be off his meds. The problem is he is attracting the weird Trumpers as a thought leader. You would think he would be sticking to his knitting in his high risk projects with real money, real investors, and real employees.

Is it possible that the money isn’t real? I know the employees and the investors are, but He seems to be in a desperate mode. Why such risky oppositional behavior? Is there a time crunch?

"Twitter has stopped paying the rent on some of its office leases and hasn't paid numerous other vendors since Elon Musk acquired the company in late October, Axios has learned from multiple sources.

Why it matters: One of the world's richest men isn't honoring financial obligations made to those with far fewer resources.

What to know: Twitter had offices all over the world before Musk acquired it, and many of them remain in use. But it leases the space, rather than owns it.

Since Musk took over, the monthly bills haven't been getting paid"

“In another unexpected move, Elon Musk will be selling furniture from Twitter‘s headquarters. Planned by the tech magnate, an online auction will be held to clear “surplus corporate office assets” from the social media platform’s San Francisco, California office.”

Tesla CEO Elon Musk sold over 20 million shares of the company stock between Monday and Wednesday. The sale is worth about $3.5 billion, according to a regulatory filing. Musk’s latest stock dump follows the nearly $4 billion worth of shares he sold last month.

Musk hasn’t provided a reason publicly for the share sell this time around, nor if he is done for the day. In April, he sold off $8.5 billion worth of Tesla stock, and in August Musk offloaded another $7 billion’s worth.

After Wednesday’s share sell, Musk owns roughly $66 billion worth of Tesla stock.

The sell comes as Tesla investors raise concerns over Musk’s involvement with Twitter, which the executive recently took over after a controversial, and expensive, purchase. Investors say Musk’s involvement with the social media platform is detrimental to Tesla, arguments they back by pointing to the company’s stock price. Trading at $156.80 after hours on Wednesday, Tesla stock is down 60.8% from January, and is on track for their worst full-year performance.

Some analysts speculate that today’s stock sell is Musk’s answer to some of the high interest debt he’s paying on his $44 billion Twitter deal. Twitter took on $13 billion in debt as part of that deal, including about $3 billion of unsecured debt on which Twitter pays an interest rate of 11.75%.

Investors say it doesn’t seem like the sell was planned, and it’s unclear if Musk is done selling. That said, Musk only has until Friday to sell more stock before Tesla goes into a quiet period for the end of the quarter. Some investors expressed frustration that Musk has been unpredictable when it comes to selling stock. Years ago he said he wouldn’t sell shares. When he went back on that earlier this year, Musk said he was done selling. But then lo and behold, he goes ahead and dumps stock again on three separate occasions.

The accounts belonging to CNN's Donie O'Sullivan, The New York Times' Ryan Mac, The Washington Post's Drew Harwell and other journalists who have covered Musk aggressively in recent weeks were all abruptly permanently suspended. The account of progressive independent journalist Aaron Rupar was also banned.

Neither Musk nor Twitter responded to a request for comment Thursday evening, and the platform did not explain precisely why the journalists were exiled from the platform.

Washington Post tech columnist Taylor Lorenz said her Twitter account was suspended Saturday after she tweeted a request for comment at Elon Musk, the tech mogul who is the social network’s new owner, on a story she was working on.

Lorenz’s Twitter account (@TaylorLorenz), which she activated in 2010, had more than 340,000 followers before it was suspended. “Earlier tonight, Elon Musk suspended my Twitter account,” she wrote on her Substack. “I received zero communication from the company on why I was suspended or what terms I violated.”

The disabling of Lorenz’s account, without any evident explanation, makes it appear that Musk, who has called himself a “free speech absolutist,” is now waging a campaign to keep information and commentary critical of him off the platform he bought for $44 billion.

Reddit, Twitch, Telegram, WhatsApp, WeChat, Weibo and the right-wing platforms Parler and Gab are also exempt from the new policy.

Twitter announced the change during Sunday's finale of the World Cup, which Musk attended and tweeted from. He was pictured sitting near Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of former President Donald Trump, who founded Truth Social, which was part of the rule change.

Elon's stale playbook: At Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk was a jerk with a grand vision. At Twitter, he's just a jerk.

Twitter's new owner Elon Musk posted an informal poll Sunday asking users of the social media platform if he should step down as CEO.

Musk claimed he will abide by the results of the poll, but it is unclear whether or not he will actually do so.

The poll closed Monday morning with a majority of respondents calling for the billionaire to leave his post.

"From a democratic perspective, it’s highly problematic that tech oligarchs like Musk are amassing so much power and influence. They are not democratically controlled in any way or guided by any concern for the public good. Musk is yet another example of how short the path from a certain kind of libertarianism to the far right is, a reminder that this type of libertarianism is driven by a desire for freedom from regulation and criticism of any kind."

NEW YORK — Shares of Tesla plummeted 12% on Tuesday, wiping nearly $50 billion from the company's value and eliciting scrutiny of CEO Elon Musk as he appears to focus on Twitter.

The losses exacerbated a skid that goes back months. Since Musk acquired Twitter in late October, Tesla stock has fallen by half. Since last January, when Musk began investing in Twitter, the company has lost nearly three-quarters of its value.

Scott Adams had some insight into absurdist power structure, and FAILED to kept his criticism adhered to the actual criminals. How was he excised in his critique from the real overlords and diverted to a fictional racist villain group?
I think he made enough money.

read about his holocaust denialism here...

"I’d also like to know how the Holocaust death total of 6 million was determined. Is it the sort of number that is so well documented with actual names and perhaps a Nazi paper trail that no historian could doubt its accuracy, give or take ten thousand? Or is it like every other LRN (large round number) that someone pulled out of his ass and it became true by repetition? Does the figure include resistance fighters and civilians who died in the normal course of war, or just the Jews rounded up and killed systematically? No reasonable person doubts that the Holocaust happened, but wouldn’t you like to know how the exact number was calculated, just for context? Without that context, I don’t know if I should lump the people who think the Holocaust might have been exaggerated for political purposes with the Holocaust deniers."

Context? “… is it like every other LRN (large round number) that someone pulled out of his ass and it became true by repetition?” Why can’t he even google for himself the archived and compiled data research from available reports and records, to get closer to the facts? His ilk is so proud of “doing their own research.” What bullshit. The total all told of Jews and non Jews chosen for annihilation is closer to 11 million, but of course that is not precise. https://encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/ ... ersecution The side eye “wouldn’t you like to know?” comment of his is awful, and disingenuous. It is so shitty to rely on nobody caring to research the answers they say they desire… it takes real academic research and detective work to figure data that was obscured and destroyed for precisely that reason. To dismiss published estimates based on actual study proves a meanness I cannot fathom. Ya done, Scott.
